USAF Aircrafts Arrive in Ukraine

U.S. Air Force F-15C Eagles and C-130J Super Hercules aircrafts have arrived in Ukraine to participate in military exercise Clear Sky 2018, the U.S. Embassy in Ukraine informed on Twitter.

Clear Sky 2018 is large-scale international military exercise. It will be held in Ukraine between Oct. 8 and Oct. 19.

The exercise aims at ensuring air sovereignty, promoting peace and security through interaction with NATO partners and allies. It will focus on air sovereignty, deep air support and air mobility operations, air-to-ground communication, as well cyber defense, aeromedical evacuation and personnel recovery.

Approximately 950 personnel from the U.S., Romania, Poland, Belgium, Denmark, the U.K., the Netherlands, Greece and Estonia will come to Ukraine to participate.

In total, more than 40 aircrafts, dozens of anti-aircraft missile systems and radiotechnical forces will be involved in the exercise.
