The US State Department calls for allies to do more to punish Russia for its aggression, reports UATV.

The US State Department spokeswoman Heather Nauert stated that the US is in close contact with NATO, the OSCE and other international organizations regarding the Russian aggression in Ukraine. And the United States continues to express its support for Ukraine after Russia attacked and seized three Ukrainian vessels near the Kerch Strait in Washington, on Nov. 27.

“And one of the things that we would like to see take place is our European allies doing more to assist Ukraine. The United States government has taken a very strong position in their support in support of Ukraine. We would like other countries to do more as well. That is something that’s enshrined in our national security strategy encouraging other countries to help one another around the world, so that the United States isn’t completely, I don’t want to say shouldering the burden, so the United States isn’t handling these issues chiefly alone”, said Heather Nauert.

Spokeswoman also emphasized that Europe should reconsider the Nord Stream 2 pipeline from Russia.
