On Feb. 24, the United Nations Security Council (UNSC) adopted a resolution demanding a 30-day ceasefire in Syria.

The text of the resolution, the draft of which was changed on Russia’s demand, was supported by all 15 members of the UNSC, DW reported.

The document states that the ceasefire must be implemented immediately. This will make it possible to deliver humanitarian aid to those regions that need it.

At the same time, the resolution does not have any decisive measures to maintain the ceasefire.
