The UN consciously ignored the summit of the Crimean Platform, it happened for political reasons. The Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Ukraine will speak with the UN leadership about the inadmissibility of such an attitude towards the country.

This was reported by the Minister of Foreign Affairs of Ukraine Dmytro Kuleba at an online briefing, UA informs.

The Minister of Foreign Affairs of Ukraine noted that the key task of the UN is precisely the support of peace and security.

“When we see the participation of such respected organizations as the Council of Europe and NATO in the summit of the Crimean Platform, and the UN consciously ignores this event, this speaks both of the state of affairs in the organization, and of the UN’s understanding of its role and mission in the world” – Dmytro Kuleba noted.

According to him, this understanding is wrong, and Ukraine will change it, because it is necessary to protect the principles, but not the interests of individual states that violate international law.

To remind, the first summit of the inauguration of the Crimean platform started on August 23. It officially launched the first international format on the de-occupation of Crimea.
