A 16-year-old Ukrainian athlete, Yaroslava Mahuchikh, has won gold in high jump at the European Athletics Under 18 Championships.
She cleared a championship record of 1.94 meters on her third attempt in the high jump final, reported European Athletics.

Jessica Kahara from Finland came in second after clearing 1.83 meters. Maria Kochanova from Russia won the bronze medal, Ukrinform reported.
In total, Ukraine won three gold and one silver medal.
The championships were held in Gyor, Hungary, from July 5 to 8.
