Ukrainian wrestler Muhammad Aliyev became world champion

For the first time in history, Ukraine won a gold medal in the men’s freestyle wrestling at the U23 World Championships. Freestyle wrestler Muhammad Aliyev brought victory,  UA informs.

In the semifinal match with the Russian, he snatched a ticket to the final with a minimal advantage of 6: 5. And in a decisive battle with the Iranian – defeated the opponent – 11: 4.

For Aliyev, this is the first gold award in competitions of this scale.
