Ukrainian athletes have won 10 medals at the XV Summer European Youth Olympic Festival in Baku, Azerbaijan.
They’ve been doing particularly well in gymnastics, where they’ve climbed the podium six times.
On the sixth day of the competition, the Ukrainians won three gold, three silver, and four bronze medals, Ukrinform reported.
Gymnast Nazar Chepurny won a gold medal in floor exercises, a gold medal in vault, and a silver medal in rings. Illia Kovtun won a silver medal in floor exercises. Volodymyr Kostiuk won a bronze medal in vault, and Anastasia Motak won a silver medal in the vault.
Swimmers Rostislav Kryzhanovsky won a gold medal in the 100-meter breaststroke and Yevhenia Zhukova won a bronze medal in the 100-meter backstroke.
Judoist Tymur Valeyev won a bronze medal in a weight category up to 81 kilograms.
Field athlete Roman Petruk won a bronze medal in the long jump.
The Ukrainian team is represented by 68 athletes who are competing in seven sports. Events will last until Saturday (July 28).
