“More than half of the fuel consumed by Ukraine is imported from Belarus, Russia and Lithuania. The volume of oil produced by Ukraine is not big enough to influence Ukrainian gas prices significantly. The biggest factor that really makes a difference in regards to Ukrainian gas prices happens to be its currency exchange rate,” stated the internet newspaper narodna-pravda.ua.
According to the UPECO Consulting Company, from March 15 to March 16, the price of oil continues to decrease by 0,1 – 0,25 UAH per liter, as for gasoline and diesel, it fell by 1.5 hryvnia per liter.
The auto gas at Kyiv Shell Company petrol stations and BRSM-Nafta Company petrol stations fell by 0.2 UAH per liter to 13.29 UAH per liter and 12.59 UAH per liter, respectively. However at the Sun Oil filling Station the auto gas price decreased by 0.2 UAH per liter to 11.70 UAH per liter.
