Ukraine has not blocked access to the social media platform Truth Social and could not have done so, as this social network has never been available to Ukrainian users.

Ukrainian Foreign Ministry spokesperson Heorhii Tykhyi announced this on X, according to Ukrinform.

“We have seen reports suggesting that access to the Truth Social network has been blocked in Ukraine. These reports are false. Ukraine did not and could not block access because, unfortunately, the social network Truth Social has never made itself available to users in Ukraine,” he said.

Tykhyi added that according to publicly available information, Truth Social is only available in a number of countries (the United States, Canada, Brazil, Australia, and a few others), and Ukraine is not on that list.

He stated that Ukraine would be grateful if Truth Social would add Ukraine to their authorized region of operations.

The Ukrainian National Security and Defense Council’s Center for Countering Disinformation posted on Telegram that Russian propaganda is spreading a fake story about the alleged ban of the Truth Social network in Ukraine by President Volodymyr Zelenskyy.

“The Russians are lying, claiming that Truth Social has been banned in Ukraine, which has never been available in our country. Therefore, the Russian propaganda’s claim that President Volodymyr Zelenskyy supposedly blocked the Truth Social network in Ukraine is a fake,” the center said.

Earlier, Russian propaganda spread a fake story about the alleged ban of Truth Social by President Volodymyr Zelenskyy in Ukraine.

Truth Social is a social media platform owned by Trump Media & Technology Group, where U.S. President Donald Trump publishes posts.
