Ukrainian Agri-Food Exports to the EU Rises

The monthly trade report of the European Commission, revealed that Ukrainian exports of agricultural products to the countries of the European Union have increased by 1.2 billion euros, Ukrainskyi Tyzhden reported.

Ukraine and Indonesia have the most significant growth rate of exports to the EU.

In the last 12 months, the European Union has imported the most agri-food from Brazil (11.8 billion euros), the United States (11 billion euros) and Argentina (5.7 billion euros). The list also includes Ukraine, China, Indonesia, Switzerland and Turkey. The amount of imports to the EU varies between 4.5-5.5 billion euros for each of these countries.

In addition, the EU agri-food exports to Ukraine has increased by more than 200 million euros over the past 12 months.

In total, the value of the EU agri-food exports, reached 137.9 billion euros during the reporting period. This indicates a growth of 5.1 percent compared to 2016.

291 Ukrainian enterprises, including 111 producers of poultry, fish, honey, eggs and dairy products, will be entitled to export to the EU countries, starting from Feb.29, 2018.
