Ukraine wraps up text of security commitments with EU

Ukraine and the European Union have reached an agreement on the text of the security agreement that is soon to be signed.

That was announced on the website of the Office of the President of Ukraine.

“The Ukrainian and EU negotiating teams finalized the text of the security agreement and agreed to sign it in the near future,” reads the statement.

Following the instructions of the President of Ukraine and the Head of the Presidential Office, Deputy Head of the Presidential Office Ihor Zhovkva held the final round of negotiations on the security agreement with the EU with Charles Fries, Deputy Secretary General of the European External Action Service for Peace, Security and Defense.

This agreement with the EU will be concluded in furtherance of the Joint Declaration of Support for Ukraine, which the European Union alongside the G7 countries approved in Vilnius on July 12, 2023.
