Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelenskyy has claimed Ukraine is determined to finalize its peace plan in 2024.

Zelenskyy made a statement during a joint press conference with Slovenian President Natasa Pirc Musar in Kyiv on June 28.

“It [peace plan] will be ready in the near future. We will also work out all other points of the Peace Formula and prepare a comprehensive plan that will be on the table before our partners. It is very important for us to show a plan to end the war that will be supported by the majority of the world,” President Zelenskyy announced.

He once again reiterated that only Ukraine can and will make big decisions ending the war. In his opinion, this is the only way a just and long-term peace could be achieved, and the aggressor cannot offer its ultimatums.

“Of course, Ukraine will decide. But if everything depended only on Ukraine, there would be no war. Unfortunately, the occupier Russia and Putin wanted war. And he does not want to end it so far. The diplomatic path chosen by Ukraine is our initiative, because we are a victim in this war,” Zelensky said.

The Ukrainian leader added that Ukraine will keep boosting its military production so that Russia is aware Ukraine is a strong enemy on the battlefield and doesn’t try to resume the war.
