Ukraine will increase the minimum wage

The minimum wage in Ukraine will be increased up to $285 until 2022. As of January 1, 2021, the minimum wage is $220.

The Minister of Finance Serhyi Marchenko told about it on the air of “Channel 24 “, UA informs.

“We expect that next year we will increase the minimum wage to $285. And then we will have an increase in inflation of + 2% – that is, we are planning a moderate increase in social indicators” – he said.

According to him, an increase in pension payments is also expected.

“This will be a priority and will already be determined when forming the budget for 2022-2024. We have money to increase these payments” – the minister added.

Earlier, the Cabinet of Ministers of Ukraine has increased the size of pensions for military personnel.
