Ukraine Triumphs and Wins its First Gold at the 2018 Winter Olympics

Ukrainian freestyle player Alexander Abramenko became the first Ukrainian winter Olympic champion of the 2018 Games in Pyongchang, Republic of Korea.

Abramenko’s jump scored an impressive 128.51 points, and enable him to clinch the gold medal, Ukrinform reports. This is a first in the history of Ukrainian freestyle.

Chinese athlete Jia Tsunyan (128.05 points) won the silver medal with 128.05 points, and Russian Ilya Burov finished third with 122.17 points.
