Ukraine and Georgia will have a joint session at July’s NATO Summit.

Ukrainian Foreign Minister Pavlo Klimkin made the announcement today at a working visit to Lviv.

Klimkin said that the two countries both aspire to join NATO.

“Therefore, we can talk about a common path and a common goal. That is why the format Ukraine–Georgia–NATO was chosen. In addition, there is an additional aspect of security around the Black Sea, especially after the occupation of Crimea by Russian Federation. I believe, that the discussion of this together with NATO and Georgia makes us stronger,” Klimkin said.

Earlier, Jens Stoltenberg urged NATO allies to act together against the Russian threat.
