Ukraine will change the principles of its foreign policy. But changing of the perception of Ukraine in the world requires a change in our state’s own perception.
This was stated by President of Ukraine Volodymyr Zelenskyy today at a briefing following a meeting with Presidents of Poland and Lithuania Andrzej Duda and Gitanas Nauseda, UA informs.
“We are not a geographical object, but a political entity. Not a problem, but a strategic partner, whose opinion the world should not be formally taken into account, but should be taken into account in fact. To do this, Ukraine should be a proactive player in the global arena, not a silent observer” – Volodymyr Zelenskyy stressed.
According to the President, this will be possible if diplomacy realizes its high role, and foreign policy becomes modern, mobile, dynamic instead of too conservative, and therefore slow, current views.
Today, on December 20, Presidents of Ukraine, Poland and Lithuania held a meeting at the state residence “Synehora” in Guta of Ivano-Frankivsk region.
