The President of Ukraine has claimed that Ukraine is not in any kind of negotiating proccess with Russia due to clear understanding that it still rejects the idea of a just peace and is not ready for any particular plans.

Volodymyr Zelenskyy said this as he and Charles Michel arrived at the European Council meeting in Brussels on June 27.

They [Russians] don’t have any [peace] plan. They have only one plan… How to make this war longer […] But most countries are on this [Ukraine’s] side […] I saw it at the first Peace Summit, even sceptical countries […] they are on the right side to stop this war,” Zelenskyy noted

He emphasized that Ukraine is not interested in any ‘shadow talks’ with the aggressor and hasn’t been involved in such. Instead, Ukraine is now relying on the global community to then come up with a very specific plan, present it to Russia and implement it.

The Ukrainian leader stressed that Ukraine does not seek the war to last ‘for years’, hence, the effective peace plan must be ready in the coming months.
