Ukrainian chief diplomat Dmytro Kuleba is scheduled to visit China on July 23-26, Xinhua reported on July 22.

Xinhua cited China’s foreign ministry spokesperson Mao Ning who announced the visit.

“During the meetings and negotiations, the parties will exchange views on the current state and prospects for the development of bilateral relations. The main topic of discussion will be the search for ways to stop Russian aggression and the possible role of China in achieving a sustainable and just peace,” the Ukrainian Ministry of Foreign Affairs stated on its website.

There have been no other details reported on the trip, only the fact that Kuleba was invited by his counterpart Wang Yi.

Also, it should be noted that this will be the first visit to China for Ukraine’s foreign minister since the full-scale invasion.

Some media suggest that this visit could cointribute to the peace talks China has been trying to push.
