Ukraine’s President Volodymyr Zelenskyy has promised to look into an opportunity to attack Russian airfields with Western partners as guided bombs launched by aircraft are a “key element of Putin’s ability to wage war”.

He mentioned this in his address on June 30.

“The faster the world helps us deal with Russian military aircraft launching these bombs, the faster we can strike – quite fair, by the way – on Russian military infrastructure, on military airfields, the closer peace will be. Real peace,” Zelenskyy pointed out.

He added that Ukraine has already seen that its partners are capable of showing resolve when its comes to bolder moves towards Russia as they had allowed strikes inside Russia to wipe out its military facilities that enable its advances in the Ukrainian territory.

“Similarly, further bold decisions will help, the ones that are necessary and the ones we are discussing with partners. We will continue this communication in the coming weeks in order to secure necessary decisions,” the President vowed.

In one of its recent vicious attacks on civilians, Russia struck a Nova Poshta terminal in Kharkiv, killing one man and injuring 9 more people.
