The majority of German arms export goes to Ukraine as it keeps resisting the Russian Federation’s vicious aggression.

That’s according to Economy Ministry 2024 data, dpa reports.

Between January 1 and June 18, the German government approved total weapons exports worth at least €7.48 billion, which is 30% more than in the first half of 2023. The exports worth €4.88 billion, which makes around 65% of them, were destined for Ukraine.

Overall Germany’s weapons exports for the whole of last year hit a record €12.2 billion, which is again mostly related to cooperation with Ukraine, fighting against Russia.

The other largest recipients of German arms include Singapore (€1.21 billion), India (€153.75 million), Saudi Arabia that intensified the procurements (€132.48 million) and Qatar (€100 million).
