The European Union has transferred €3.5 billion to Ukraine under the Ukraine Facility program, the Ministry of Economy reported.
This is the first tranche of financial support Ukraine has received in 2025.
Of this amount, €3.1 billion is provided as concessional loans, while €400 million consists of grant funds.
“This is significant support from our European partners and confirmation of the right course of reforms… We will continue implementing the necessary changes within the Ukraine Facility program to harmonize with European standards and integrate Ukraine into the EU economic space,” said Ukraine’s Minister of Economy, Yulia Svyrydenko.
In total, €19.6 billion has already been allocated to Ukraine’s state budget under this program. These funds are directed toward urgent social and humanitarian needs.
In 2025, the Ukraine Facility program provides for approximately €12.5 billion in financial support for Ukraine, including €1.5 billion in grants.
