Ukrainian president, Petro Poroshenko, met with the Prime Minister and Interior Minister of Qatar, Sheikh Abdullah bin Nasser bin Khalifa Al Thani.
Both together agreed to hold an intergovernmental commission on economic cooperation in 2018.
The parties positively agreed to intensify Ukrainian and Qatari relations, and develop trade and economic cooperation, the website of the President of Ukraine reported.
The two leaders spoke about the appearance of various commodities of the agro-industrial complex of Ukraine and products of Ukrainian metallurgy in the Qatari market. They also spoke about the possibility for Ukrainian companies to implement infrastructure projects for preparations to host the 2022 FIFA World Cup in Qatar.
The meeting took place during Poroshenko’s official visit to Qatar.
