To contain Russian aggression Ukraine needs a strong economy, so Ukraine has offered the United States to create a free trade zone.
This was stated by Minister of Foreign Affairs of Ukraine Dmytro Kuleba in the program “Freedom of speech” (“Svoboda Slova”) on ICTV, UA informs.
“We offered the Americans a free trade zone between Ukraine and the United States because we want to strengthen our economy. And we all understand that in order to fight, one needs money. And it is desirable to earn them due to the fact that you have a strong economy, which allows you to create reserves and then spend them on defense” – the minister said.
To remind, Ukraine and the United States will adopt a new strategic partnership charter, and will also consider a plan for Ukraine’s transformation at a meeting of the updated strategic partnership commission.
