The amount of Ukraine’s international reserves has decreased by USD 2,909.29 million (by 9.2%) during September 2021. As of October 1, the amount of reserves amounted to $ 28,705.16 million.
This is reported by UA with reference to the data of the National Bank of Ukraine.
According to the NBU, since the beginning of the year, reserves have decreased by USD 427.073 million (by 1.5%).
The size fell after reaching a nine-year high in August of USD 31,614.45 million, thanks to IMF assistance.
The total volume of payments by the government to service and repay public debt in foreign currency amounted to USD 2,557 million. In particular, USD 2,521.1 million were allocated for servicing and redeeming external government bonds.
To remind, the Ministry of Finance of Ukraine is interested in continuing the program with the IMF for another six months. Now there are corresponding discussions with the Fund.
