Ukraine does not yet have an advantage in technology or weapons over the enemy, but it has an advantage due to technology. Old weapons are losing out and Ukraine is starting to create hybrid ones. This opinion was shared by the General of the Ukrainian Army, Head of the Foreign Intelligence Service of Ukraine (2005-2010) Mykola Malomuzh on the FREEDOM TV channel.

He noted that the creation of hybrid equipment based on Soviet weapons and Western technologies is one of the promising areas for the development of the Ukrainian military-industrial complex.

“At a meeting of a large coalition of countries of the military-industrial complex three months ago, a decision was made and German factories are now, especially tank units, not only repairing Leopard tanks, but also modernizing ours. This is a very important component,” Malomuzh said.

He emphasized that the Russian Federation is massively using weapons, old-style equipment, and ammunition. Ukraine does not have such an opportunity.

“But we can increase reserves, re-equip all systems, starting from tanks, armored personnel carriers, missile systems, radar suppression systems, which have now been made hybrid at our bases… Our designers, together with foreign ones, are constantly working on this every day, in certain closed formats in Ukraine or abroad. And they issue specific goods to the front,” Malomuzh said.
