President Volodymyr Zelenskyy has voiced a positive feedback on Ukraine’s programme aiming to produce its own missiles in the future.

He did this in his traditional evening address on July 23.

“Our missile program is showing good dynamics, and although it is a challenging task, we are gradually approaching the possibility of using our own missiles, and not just relying on missiles supplied by our partners,” Zelenskyy stated.

In his opinion, Ukraine has no options but to achieve ‘maximum defense independence’ to be able to maintain relations with allies and form new ones and to implement its interests efficiently.

Currently, Ukraine’s trump card in the sleeve is its drones. In this field, Ukrainians proved to be the ones who bring innovations to the table.

“Ukrainian leadership in this technological aspect, it is really tangible,” the President emphasized.
