Ukraine has made significant progress in reforms before being able to obtain a positive decision on the IMF’s second tranche of almost USD 700 million.
The First Deputy Prime Minister of Ukraine – Minister of Economy of Ukraine Yulia Svyrydenko told, UA writes.
She stressed that the funds are needed to combat the effects of COVID-19.
“Receiving the tranche in Ukraine was preceded by significant progress shown by our state, the implementation of a number of structural reforms. It is, first of all, about reform in the judicial sphere, anti-corruption policy, strengthening of independence of the National Bank of Ukraine” – Svyrydenko told.
To remind, the National Bank named Ukraine’s priorities in cooperation with the IMF.
