At least 40 private companies in Ukraine are currently engaged in the production of ammunition and explosives, according to Mykhailo Fedorov, the head of the Ministry of Digital Transformation.

Fedorov highlighted that the number of such manufacturers is steadily growing, with new companies entering the defense sector every month. This expansion reflects Ukraine’s increasing focus on strengthening its domestic military-industrial complex amid ongoing hostilities.

Experts believe that the rise in private defense enterprises not only enhances Ukraine’s self-sufficiency in arms production but also reduces dependence on foreign supplies, ensuring a more stable and efficient supply chain for the country’s armed forces.

Also, Fedorov stated that ukrainian citizens send hundreds of messages every week through the “e-Voroh” (e-Enemy) chatbot, which prove the platform’s effectiveness.

He stated this in an interview with My-Ukraina TV, Ukrinform reports.

“Of course, if we compare (citizens’ engagement – ed.) with the first year of the war, it is much lower, but it is still systematical as we receive hundreds of reports every week. Of course, the Russians are trying to hamper this,” he noted.

The head of the Ministry of Digital Transformation recalled that over the three years of a full-scale war with the Russian Federation, more than 660,000 reports have been sent by Ukrainians from temporarily occupied territories, telling of the movement of Russian manpower, air defense systems, , and other equipment.

The minister stressed the effectiveness of the e-Vorog service.

“How does it differ from any other chats or similar services that are launched? It offers an opportunity to submit via the Diia app, so there’s authorization. We know for sure that this is high-quality information. It is depersonalized, but it’s high-quality, because we know that it is not the Russians who are trying to impose hoaxes, that these are actual Ukrainians who are helping the Army attack the enemy,” Fedorov explained.

As reported earlier, the SBU launched an official chatbot on Telegram to expose those recruiting Ukrainians for arson attacks.
