Ukraine does not provoke Russia to increase the number of troops in the occupied Crimea and along the Ukrainian border. This was stated by the representative of the US State Department Ned Price during a briefing, UATV reports with reference to “Interfax-Ukraine“.

“We see no signs that Ukraine is taking part in provocations or contributing to the escalation of tensions. What we see is a Russian disinformation campaign designed to wrongly blame Ukraine for the Kremlin’s actions,” Price said.

On Tuesday, April 20, according to The Wall Street Journal, the Russian Federation has deployed more combat aircraft to the Ukrainian border than the West had previously believed. The publication confirms this information with photographs taken by a commercial satellite. According to the newspaper, there are Su-30, Su-34, Su-27, Su-25, Su-24 planes at the air bases near Ukraine.

Russia continues to accumulate troops near the Ukrainian border, and soon their number may double. The Pentagon said that the Russian Federation has concentrated more troops on the border with Ukraine than in 2014.

Meanwhile, the President of Ukraine Volodymyr Zelenskyy proposed to the President of the Russian Federation Vladimir Putin to hold negotiations anywhere in Donbas.
