Ukraine consolidates efforts of partners regarding the incompetence of Russia’s presence in a number of international organizations, – expert opinion

Ukraine intends to consolidate the efforts of partners on the issue of the incompetence of the Russian Federation’s presence in a number of authoritative international organizations. Fyodor Venislavsky, a member of the Verkhovna Rada of Ukraine Committee on National Security, Defense and Intelligence, announced this on the air of the FREEDOM TV channel.

He noted that in recent days a number of important international forums have been held, where the main topic is Ukraine, in particular, the NATO summit in Bucharest and the Berlin Security Conference.

“Russian aggression against Ukraine, terrorist methods of warfare, attacks on energy, critical infrastructure – this is what was discussed both in Bucharest and in Berlin, in fact, simultaneously. And this is a very important signal, because both there and there all participants unanimously practically support Ukraine in its struggle for freedom, in the struggle for territorial integrity. And therefore, these messages that are heard at such very significant international venues, they are, on the one hand, very encouraging for us, because we see that the entire civilized world, the entire civilized Europe looks at Ukraine as an outpost in the fight against Putin’s terrorist mode. And they declare from such high rostrums about further support for Ukraine both financially, and humanitarianly, and technically, and militarily, if we are talking about NATO member countries, ”Venislavsky said.

He noted that there is no need to talk about peace and security in Europe while the most terrible war is going on on the European continent since the Second World War in terms of casualties, destruction and the types of weapons used.

According to Venislavsky, now the initiatives that are being developed in various bilateral and multilateral contacts between the Ukrainian authorities and Western partners “lay the foundation for a new fundamental world order within Europe.”

He noted that the United Nations had not fulfilled its main mission – to prevent or stop the war. Venislavsky also recalled that Russia is a permanent member of the UN Security Council. Yesterday the Verkhovna Rada of Ukraine addressed the parliaments and governments of foreign countries with a proposal to consider the question of the legitimacy of Russia’s stay as a permanent member of the UN Security Council.

“We must remember that today Russia continues to be a member of the UN Security Council, the Organization for Security and Cooperation in Europe, and a number of other authoritative international organizations that should ensure security, which Russia itself is actually destroying within Europe and in within the whole world. Therefore, it is now very important to coordinate and consolidate the efforts of our partners on the issue of the incompetence of the Russian Federation’s presence in a number of international organizations, in which it has become the de facto self-proclaimed heir to the Soviet Union,” Venislavsky said.
