Ukraine can’t arm all soldiers due to slow pace of arms delivery

President Zelenskyy has said that Ukraine has been waiting for some of the weapons approved long ago to gain the advantage on the battlefield.

Volodymyr Zelenskyy stated this in an interview with Bloomberg TV.

“We have brigades that are unarmed. We have reserves, we have 14 incomplete brigades that do not have weapons, which have already been voted for and discussed. The packages should come, but they are coming at a slow pace,” Zelenskyy stressed.

He also added that people shouldn’t be using the word ‘deadlock’ when describing the situation on the battlefield. In his opinion, that’s not the appropriate term as Ukraine still could have everything to keep fighting.

“A problem can be solved if there is a desire and tools. We have the desire. But the tools… have not arrived, as they say,” the president explained.

He still thanked the allies for their support, but reiterated no counteroffensive should be expected from Ukraine if the flow of the weapons is inconsistent.
