Defense Minister Umerov said that Ukraine and the United States had agreed to ensure safe navigation in the Black Sea, and that Russia’s movement of its warships outside the eastern part of the Black Sea would be considered a violation of the “spirit of the agreements.”

Main results of the talks:

🔹The introduction of the presidents’ agreements on a complete ban on strikes on the energy infrastructure of Ukraine and Russia was agreed.

🔹Agreement on cessation of attacks and safe navigation in the Black Sea, banning the involvement of commercial vessels for military purposes. If Russia continues to move military vessels to the east of the Black Sea, Ukraine will have the right to self-defense.

🔹The parties supported the involvement of third countries to implement the agreements on energy and navigation.

🔹The U.S. reaffirmed support for the exchange of prisoners of war, the release of civilians and the return of abducted Ukrainian children.

🔹Work on achieving a lasting peace continues.

The Ukrainian Defense Minister also noted that additional technical consultations are planned for the implementation of the agreements in order to agree on all details and implementation mechanisms.
