Ukraine and China agreed to cooperate in the field of infrastructure construction

Minister of Infrastructure of Ukraine Oleksandr Kubrakov and Minister of Commerce of the People’s Republic of China Wang Wentao signed an intergovernmental agreement. It provides for the expansion of cooperation in order to implement joint projects in the sphere of infrastructure construction.

UA reports this with reference to the website of the Ministry of Infrastructure of Ukraine.

Among the priorities of cooperation are railway transit, airports, ports, communications and municipal engineering construction.

According to the agreement, Ukraine and China will encourage companies and financial institutions of both countries to actively cooperate in the construction of infrastructure facilities, contribute to the establishment of closer economic ties between the 2 countries and provide the necessary assistance and support in the implementation of joint projects.

The agreement provides for the attraction of funds on preferential terms from the government of the People’s Republic of China, necessary for the implementation of infrastructure projects.

Besides, the parties will approve potential cooperation projects that will be supported by funds from the People’s Republic of China.
