UK Health Secretary Wes Streeting has criticized American billionaire Elon Musk’s latest remarks about the British government, which relate to investigations into child sexual abuse.

This was reported by Bloomberg.

In recent days, Musk published a series of posts on his social media platform X (formerly Twitter) regarding scandals involving child abuse by organized criminal gangs in various UK cities, which emerged in the 2010s.

During his tenure as the UK’s Director of Public Prosecutions from 2008 to 2013, current Prime Minister Keir Starmer investigated these gangs and later ordered a restructuring of the system for handling child abuse cases.

In one post about the scandal, Musk accused Starmer of being a “co-conspirator in the rape of Britain” and suggested he should be held accountable for his actions.

Responding to Musk’s comments, Health Secretary Wes Streeting called the remarks “shameful” and urged Musk to focus on combating abuse on his platform.

“He has a large social network, he has a vast audience, so he can say whatever he likes. We are focused on delivering justice and tackling violence against women and girls,” said Streeting.

This is not the first time Musk has criticized the UK government. He previously voiced support for Tommy Robinson, the leader of the British far-right, who was imprisoned in October for breaching a court order related to defamatory claims about a Syrian refugee schoolboy.

In response, the UK government suggested Musk should focus on American politics.
