“Objectively, the growth of UATV English indicators peaked in 2022, when we got more than 300 thousand new subscribers. It is important that in 2023 as well on the platforms of Ukrainian international broadcasting we keep the interest of foreign English-speaking audiences to the events in Ukraine and continue to increase the indicators. The growth in the number of subscribers, millions of views, the highest audience coverage in those countries that are main allies of our state in the war with Russia, convince that the team of Ukrainian international broadcasting clearly understands the specifics and demand of foreign audiences on Ukrainian topics and embodies this understanding into a quality product with important narratives for our state,” – said Yuliya Ostrovska, the director of the state enterprise “The International Broadcasting Multimedia Platform of Ukraine”, which includes UATV English channel.

The YouTube channel UATV English presents projects of own production of the State Enterprise “IBMPU”, as well as key official statements and addresses of the President of Ukraine and other representatives of the state translated into English. The editorial staff of UATV English prepares daily breaking news on Russia’s war against Ukraine and other high-profile events on the Ukrainian agenda. In 2023, the channel launched live broadcasts from the studio in Kyiv “From the Heart of Europe” with Anna Nitchenko. The channel features exclusive special reports of Ukrainian international broadcasting correspondents from the hotspots of the war; a selection of exclusive interviews, in particular special episodes of author Kseniya Smirnova’s project “On the Edge”; information and analytical Weekly Wrap-up with Henry Keen. The Weapons of War project with Roman Romanovsky focuses on what weapons are already helping Ukrainians in defense and what weapons are needed for victory. The Q & A program and its host Henry Keen provide answers to one of the most common viewer questions of the week, such as the August 18 edition discussing the possibility for peoples, which now are parts of Russia, to gain independence. UATV English viewers also pay close attention to special reports on countering Russian propaganda and projects on the decolonization of the peoples of the Russian Federation, including the English-language version of The Nation
