In the night of September 14, U.S. President Joseph Biden met with U.K. Prime Minister Keir Starmer at the White House. The leaders “reaffirmed their unwavering support for Ukraine as it continues to defend itself against Russian aggression.”

They expressed deep concern over Iran and North Korea providing lethal weapons to Russia and the support from the People’s Republic of China for Russia’s defense industrial base.

In addition, Biden and Starmer reaffirmed their steadfast commitment to Israel’s security and emphasized the urgent need for a ceasefire agreement that would allow for the release of hostages and increased aid to Gaza.

Both leaders stressed the necessity for Israel to do more to protect civilians and address the dire humanitarian situation in Gaza.

They also condemned attacks by Iran-backed Houthis on commercial shipping in the Red Sea.
