Polish Prime Minister Donald Tusk expressed doubts about the usefulness of a large number of meetings of various formats on Ukraine that have been taking place recently, as, according to him, they have not led to progress so far.

This was reported by TVP Info.

“As you know, there are really a lot of these meetings, summits, videoconferences, and trips dedicated to the Ukrainian issue. Some would say too many. And it seems that the number of meetings does not lead to progress. This is my general remark, so that we do not go crazy, that if there are 56 summits and videoconferences, peace will come faster.”

At the same time, he emphasized that he did not want to devalue the efforts of French President Emmanuel Macron, as he said they were really useful.

Tusk announced in Brussels that Poland would be represented at the Ukraine summit in Paris next week.

He also said that before that, he was scheduled to have a one-on-one conversation with French President Emmanuel Macron. However, he did not specify whether he would travel to Paris in person.

The so-called “coalition of the resolute,” which is preparing the groundwork for securing a future post-war settlement, met in early March in London.
Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelenskyy previously announced that he would be in Paris next week for the meetings.
In addition, senior military officers from the so-called “coalition of the resolute” met at the British military headquarters on the outskirts of London on March 20 to discuss plans for an international force to enter Ukraine.
