Türkiye is ready to contribute in any way, including facilitating negotiations, to establish a fair, lasting, and dignified peace in Ukraine.

Turkish President Recep Tayyip Erdoğan made this statement while addressing representatives of EU countries online, a Ukrinform correspondent reports.

“We are ready to make any contribution, including hosting negotiations, to achieve a just, lasting, and dignified peace in Ukraine,” Erdoğan said.

The Turkish leader emphasized Türkiye’s firm support for Ukraine’s territorial integrity and independence.

“Today, we highlight the importance of a strong diplomatic foundation where both sides, striving for a fair, lasting, and honest peace, sit at the negotiating table. We support the idea of an immediate ceasefire and an end to attacks by air and sea as a confidence-building measure between the parties,” Erdoğan stressed.

He also criticized Türkiye’s exclusion from EU defense procurement and reconstruction programs, calling it unjustified.

“This is especially unreasonable given Türkiye’s support for Ukraine’s defense industry and the contributions of our private sector, which has remained in the country despite the war. This is in our shared interests,” Erdoğan stated.

As previously reported, Türkiye’s Ministry of Defense announced that the country is ready to send peacekeepers to Ukraine.
