The President of the USA, Donald Trump, declared that he was “very angry” and “irritated” when the leader of Russia, Vladimir Putin, questioned the legitimacy of the Ukrainian authorities and called to introduce temporary external governance in Ukraine.

Trump said this on Sunday during a phone conversation with NBC News.

The head of the Kremlin, Vladimir Putin, recently proposed to discuss the introduction of temporary governance in Ukraine under the aegis of the UN and a number of countries in order to conduct elections.

According to Putin, with a new government, it will be possible to start peace negotiations and sign “legitimate documents that will be recognized worldwide and will be reliable.”

“If we cannot agree with Russia on stopping the bloodshed in Ukraine, and if I consider that Russia is to blame for this – which may not be the case – but if I consider that it was its fault, I am going to introduce secondary tariffs on oil, on all oil coming from Russia,” – Trump declared on Sunday.

“This will mean that if you buy oil from Russia, you will not be able to do business in the United States. A duty of 25% will be set on all oil, from 25 to 50 points on all oil,” – Trump said.

Trump’s comments appeared after he had previously criticized Zelenskyy, stating that he was tired of the fact that the President of Ukraine allegedly wants to fight and called him a “dictator.”

“There will be a 25% tariff on oil and other products sold in the United States, secondary tariffs,” – Trump said. He noted that the tariffs would be introduced within a month if there was no ceasefire agreement.

According to him, Putin knows that he is angry. But, Trump noted, he has “very good relations” with the leader of the Russian Federation, and “anger quickly dissipates… if he does the right things.”

Let us recall that following negotiations in Saudi Arabia on March 23-25, the USA, Russia, and Ukraine agreed on a ban on strikes on energy facilities, but this agreement does not work in practice. Russia continues to attack Ukraine’s energy infrastructure.
