Republican U.S. presidential candidate Donald Trump has accepted President Joe Biden’s offer to meet at the White House to discuss the transition of power.
The Associated Press reported, citing Trump’s campaign.
The campaign stated that Trump accepted Biden’s invitation to meet at the White House for discussions on the transition process.
While the date of the meeting has yet to be announced, Trump’s communications director, Steven Cheung, said it will “take place soon.”
Cheung added that Trump “greatly appreciates” Biden’s congratulatory call on Wednesday.
Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelenskyy also announced that he had a phone conversation with Donald Trump, congratulating him on his U.S. presidential election victory.
