Canadian Prime Minister Justin Trudeau expressed support for Ukraine after a meeting between U.S. President Donald Trump and Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelenskyy escalated into a dispute at the White House.

Trudeau shared his thoughts on social media platform X (Twitter).

The Canadian leader emphasized that Russia illegally and unjustifiably invaded Ukraine, and for three years, Ukrainians have been fighting with courage and resilience.

“Their struggle for democracy, freedom, and sovereignty is a fight that matters to all of us. Canada will continue to support Ukraine and Ukrainians in achieving a just and lasting peace,” Trudeau wrote.

Notably, members of the Democratic Party defended Zelenskyy after Donald Trump and his Vice President, J.D. Vance, publicly reprimanded the Ukrainian leader in the Oval Office.

Meanwhile, in Russia, officials are gloating over the failure of Zelenskyy’s negotiations in the U.S.
