The United Kingdom intends to continue the Interflex operation to train Ukrainian military personnel on its territory throughout 2025.

British Defense Secretary John Healey said this during his visit to Kyiv.

Healy reaffirmed the UK’s commitment to continue to lead the training of soldiers in Operation Interflex throughout 2025.

“Even if the fighting stops, your need for military training, for defense assistance, for the solidarity and support that the UK can provide to your country will not disappear,” he added.

The minister also noted that during his meetings with Ukrainian counterpart Rustem Umerov, he discussed how Britain could strengthen Ukraine’s military-industrial complex “so that it becomes an important part of your ability to fight today and defend yourself with your allies in the future.”

As you know, Ukrainian military exercises in Europe are conducted mainly within the framework of two programs – Interflex, led by the UK, and the EU-led EUMAM initiative.

Operation Interflex was initiated in the fall of 2022 and involves more than 10 countries that provide training for Ukrainian military personnel in the UK.

As of November 2024, 50,000 Ukrainian servicemen have been trained as part of the operation.
