Together with its international partners, Ukraine is shaping a new security architecture and guarantees for the future. This was stated by Prime Minister Denys Shmyhal at a Government session.
“Last year we said that the winner of this war would be the one who took better care of its own army, built a stronger coalition and had a more resilient and adaptable economy. At the NATO Summit in Vilnius, we all saw once again the strength and absolute support of the pro-Ukrainian coalition,” Denys Shmyhal stressed.
The Prime Minister emphasised that Ukraine would definitely be in NATO. This position is supported by all NATO countries.
“In Vilnius, the leaders of the G7 countries, with the participation of President Volodymyr Zelenskyy, agreed on a Joint Declaration of Support for Ukraine. This declaration is the foundation and the first step towards making Ukraine secure and strong,” the Prime Minister said.
Another success of the Vilnius Summit, according to Denys Shmyhal, is new substantial military assistance packages from various allies: “More equipment for our security and defence forces. More air defence systems to protect our skies. More shells for our counter-offensive.”
