Time has issued a detailed article on Joe Biden’s not-the-greatest perfomance at the debate with Trump on June 27 and dedicated a cover to it, evaluating Democrats’ reaction to the debate with a brief ‘panic’ word.

“What the actual f— is happening?”, “This won’t be as bad for voters as it is for us, right?” some of the Democratic fundraisers burst with panic during the debate, according to the media.

The article concluded that the debate showed how Biden has aged in 4 years. Though Trump is not that much younger, he looked was better that the Democratic opponent.

“But the reality remains: everyone in America who tuned in to the debate could see for themselves how Biden has aged. Already locked into what is at best a neck-and-neck race with Trump, Biden’s path to victory suddenly seemed to be turning into a dead-end before Democrats’ eyes,” reads the article.

Still, the intervention from the Democrats and dissapointment from the audience will likely lead to no dramatic repercussions for Biden at this point.

“The rules of the Democratic party make it almost impossible to replace Biden atop the ticket unless he voluntarily steps aside. Biden currently has 3,894 of the nearly 4,000 estimated pledged delegates so far, most of whom are required to stick with him through the first round of voting, which will be held virtually online ahead of the Democratic National Convention,” TIME explained.

Biden and his team has officially rejected claims about him giving up on the presidential race or any changes in his campaign, according to The Hill.
