The Russian occupiers are unable to cross the Volchya River and take full control of the city of Vovchansk in the Kharkiv region. Now the Ukrainian Defense Forces control about 60% of the territory of the settlement. Active measures are underway to clear the residential sector of Russian occupiers. Military-political analyst Dmitry Snegirev said this on air on the FREEDOM TV channel.
Special units of the Main Intelligence Directorate of the Ministry of Defense of Ukraine (GUR MO) were transferred to Vovchansk. And this tactic, according to Snegirev, is already yielding positive results.
“Units of the Main Intelligence Directorate of the Ministry of Defense carried out a unique operation at the time of the destruction of the personnel of the Russian occupation forces. They gave the enemy the opportunity to enter the territory of an administrative building – a hospital in the city of Vovchansk, after which a strike was carried out using high-precision weapons – a French-made Hammer aerial bomb,” the analyst said.
According to the estimates of the occupiers themselves, the loss of personnel is more than 50 people and a similar number of sanitary losses, “three hundredths,” Snegirev added. That is, as a result of a successful special operation by the Main Intelligence Directorate of the Moscow Region, about 100 servicemen of the Russian Army were killed.
Snegirev also noted that the situation in the Liptsy village area remains difficult.
“The enemy is trying to take this settlement because it is key for Ukrainian defense. There are commanding heights there that allow the Ukrainian Armed Forces to keep significant territories under fire control, including the occupied areas of the Kharkiv region,” the expert explained.
However, there is no further advance of the Russian occupiers deeper into Ukrainian territory, Snegirev emphasized.
“The so-called creation of a sanitary zone, although, most likely, we are talking about an attempt by the Russian Federation to put pressure on the political leadership of Ukraine, has actually slowed down at the moment. All this is thanks to the successful actions of both the intelligence community and the Ukrainian Defense Forces,” summed up the broadcast guest.

Let us remind you that in the Kharkiv direction over the past 24 hours, the Ukrainian Armed Forces repelled eight attacks by Russians in the area of the villages of Liptsy and Staritsa. Combat operations continue in the Pletenivka-Vovchansk direction.
