The USA announced an additional $125 million military aid security assistance for Ukraine

The Department of Defense (DoD) has announced further security assistance to address Ukraine’s critical defense needs.

This marks the Biden Administration’s 63 equipment packages provided from US Department of Defense inventories for Ukraine since August 2021.

Valued at approximately $125 million, this Presidential Drawdown Authority (PDA) package will enhance Ukraine’s capabilities, including air defense systems, multi-mission radars to detect and counter enemy artillery, and anti-tank weapons.

This package includes:

  • Stinger missiles;
  • Ammunition for High Mobility Artillery Rocket Systems (HIMARS);
  • 155mm and 105mm artillery ammunition;
  • Multi-mission radars;
  • Tube-launched, Optically tracked, Wire-guided (TOW) missiles;
  • Javelin and AT-4 anti-armor systems;
  • High Mobility Multipurpose Wheeled Vehicle (HMMWV) ambulances;
  • Small arms ammunition;
  • Demolitions equipment and munitions;
  • Equipment to protect critical national infrastructure; and
  • Spare parts, ancillary equipment, services, training, and transportation.
