On the Crimean (Kerch) bridge, the Russian invaders opened a reverse road connection. This is more done to show that the bridge is functioning, albeit not fully. Refat Chubarov, head of the Mejlis of the Crimean Tatar people, said this on the air of the FREEDOM TV channel.
He noted that at the entrances to the Crimea, an increased inspection of luggage and cars that will move across the bridge or by ferry is carried out, so long queues remain.
“The occupiers announced that the full restoration of the bridge would be completed by November 1, but at the same time they specified that the final date might change after a detailed study of what happened. Be that as it may, we can note that the blowing up of the bridge significantly complicated the logistics of the Russian occupiers and, first of all, the supply of Russian troops in the occupied Crimea,” Chubarov said.
The head of the Mejlis believes that after the bridge was blown up, the number of Russians who wanted to relax in Crimea in the summer will decrease significantly.
“All the people who continue to visit Crimea under the conditions of its occupation, apart from the fact that they violate the current legislation of Ukraine, put their lives in danger, they are fully responsible for this. Moscow needs this for such a glamorous picture that, they say, they will keep the Crimea, despite any imaginary or obvious threats, ”he expressed the opinion.
Refat Chubarov added that as long as the bridge across the Kerch Strait is in place, the Russians will use it for military purposes.
Recall, the so-called “head” of the Russian-occupied Crimea, Sergei Aksyonov, said that an “emergency incident” occurred on the Crimean (Kerch) bridge today, July 17, in connection with which traffic on the bridge was stopped.
