How threatening is the nuclear blackmail of the Russians at the Zaporizhia nuclear power plant? Is there a turning point in the war? Where to expect a counteroffensive from the Armed Forces of Ukraine? Military expert Valery Ryabykh told about this on the air of the telethon “Ukraine Speaks” on the TV channels “Dom” and UA.
The expert expressed his point of view on the nuclear blackmail of Russians at the Zaporizhia nuclear power plant:
“Russian nuclear terrorism at the Zaporizhia NPP is a consequence of the crimes that their troops committed earlier. They have not received a proper response from the international community, for these crimes. We observed similar behavior of the occupiers at the Chornobyl nuclear power plant
They will try to frighten not only the population of Ukraine, but also the population of Europe. If the station is subjected to some kind of impact that leads to an accident, then the consequences will be more catastrophic than the accident at the Chornobyl nuclear power plant.
This situation was first of all caused by the inaction of the world community itself and the European countries, which did not fully realize all the threats.”
Ryabykh explained whether Ukrainian troops will be able to establish control over the occupied Melitopol:
“There is a certain threat of an offensive from the Armed Forces of Ukraine in this direction. The enemy has concentrated a fairly large number of troops. If earlier there were ten battalion-tactical groups in this area, now more than 20 of them are concentrated here. They are realizing the possibility of a threat in this direction from the Armed Forces of Ukraine. That`s why the enemy also uses hybrid threats, for example, the Zaporizhia NPP.
The attack on Melitopol is assessed by experts as one of the most possible. Nevertheless, there is no way to predict it for the short term now.”
He believes that the turning point in the war has come:
“We have been saying for a long time that we are now waiting for an active offensive in the south. The Armed Forces of Ukraine will carry out an operation and force the enemy out of the occupied right bank of the Dnipro river in the Kherson region.
This shows us that the offensive has already begun.
We also got the opportunity to strike at enemy bases after destroying the part of their logistics.
As we can see from the statistics for the past week, it was destroyed: 21 ammunition depots, about 20 enemy military bases, as well as several military infrastructure facilities. This is precise with the use of high-precision Hymars systems.
Now, such a situation may lead to the fact that the enemy will be forced to retreat from the right bank of the Kherson region in the same way as he retreated from the Kyiv region earlier.”
