U.S. President Joe Biden announced a new $425 million security assistance package for Ukraine, which includes air defense systems, munitions, military equipment, and other weapons.

This is stated in an official White House release following a conversation between Presidents Joe Biden and Volodymyr Zelenskyy.

“Today, the President announced the provision of a $425 million security assistance package to Ukraine, which includes additional air defense capabilities, air-to-ground munitions, armored vehicles, and critical munitions to meet Ukraine’s urgent needs,” the statement reads.

The U.S. will transfer hundreds of air defense interceptor missiles, dozens of tactical air defense systems, additional artillery systems, a significant amount of munitions, and hundreds of armored personnel carriers (APCs) and infantry fighting vehicles (IFVs) to Ukraine over the coming months.

Additionally, the U.S. will send thousands of extra armored vehicles to help equip Ukraine’s Armed Forces, the White House emphasized.
