The short animated movie “The Tiger is Strolling Around” by Ukrainian director Anastasia Falileyeva is in the official competition program of the International Short Shorts Film Festival & Asia in Tokyo (Japan). The movie was created by studio KAPI with the support of the State Film Agency of Ukraine.

The movie is dedicated to the topic of teenage depression. It tells a story of a high school student, Katsumi, who is experiencing a depressive disorder and is despaired of the support and love of even those closest to her.
“It’s great that our film will be presented in Japan. Besides, this is my first festival with Oscar accreditation. I love this country; my film reproduces its style. And I consider the fact of selection is a kind of recognition of the authenticity of the tape”, – Falileyeva commented.
It was also reported that 2 Ukrainian films won awards at the festival in Riga.
